Frequently Asked Questions
What file formats do you accept for surgical guide design?
We accept STL, PLY, and OBJ mesh files from intraoral scanners, plus DICOM data from CBCT scans. Files should be exported at highest resolution available for optimal accuracy.
How do I connect my iTero scanner to the lab?
Register your practice on the iTero portal, add our lab ID to your connections, and select us as destination when exporting cases. We receive files directly through the cloud connection.
What CBCT settings should I use for surgical guide planning?
Use smallest voxel size available (ideally 0.2mm or less), full arch FOV, and ensure patient is properly positioned. Export full DICOM dataset including all slices.
Can I submit cases online without a direct scanner connection?
Yes, use our online portal to upload STL/PLY scans and DICOM data. We also accept files via secure file transfer for larger datasets.
